Neurosomatics
Neurosomatic Intelligence (NSI) is a protocol that teaches clients how to regulate their nervous systems. This includes assessing, regulating, and rehabilitating the body. While this work progresses over time, results and relief are instant.
Each nervous system is unique. NSI lends insight into underlying emotional/physical dynamics to identify which unique tools will deliver foundational, lasting relief from symptoms.
These tools are simpler than you may think, and can be especially effective for those who have sought out coping mechanisms that deliver “instant gratification.”
This process involves physically processing stress and emotion:
releasing and clarifying vs. dissociating and compulsively self soothing
Neurosomatics can help you:
-
Rewrite long held patterns, habits, behaviors and limiting beliefs
-
Find relief from looping thoughts, anxiety, fear, paranoia and overwhelm
-
Find foundational relief from pain and physical tension
-
Find more accuracy and ease in your physical performance
-
Clarify your mind and feel more energized and present in day to day life, as well as embodiment in moments of acute stress and difficulty
Healing is wholeness. This approach does not aim only to treat symptoms but to consider the complete context that these symptoms have occurred within to find a care plan that is suitable to each unique client.
What is context?
-
The daily experience of your body
-
Sleep patterns
-
The environment in which you live and work
-
Childhood stresses or traumas
-
The quality of your current relationships
-
How you relate to work
-
Your experience of joy or anger
-
Your experience of motivation
-
Present stressors
-
How you feel about yourself as a person
-
Longstanding conditions resulting from a course of illness
-
Self soothing rituals of the past or present
Neurosomatics is a deeply trauma informed modality, particularly supportive for individuals who experience complex post traumatic stress, chronic illness and those who have lived and/or worked in high stress environments (including dysfunctional households, toxic relationships, and high risk work).
Energy Healing
I began my training in Cellular Expansion and Healing over a decade ago.
Cellular Expansion and Healing as a modality recognizes the interconnectedness of all aspects of our being, and acknowledges that true healing goes beyond the physical body. It acknowledges the body’s innate wisdom and seeks to restore balance and harmony at a deep cellular level.
As energetic blockages or imbalances are identified and addressed, the process often involves releasing stored emotions, traumas or limiting beliefs that are held within the cells. This release allows for emotional and energetic integration, creating space for healing and transformation.
Cellular Expansion is a hands-on modality.
My practice has come to integrate intuitive components and years of experience. My approach to energy healing exists within a container of safety, compassion, curiosity and respect. Balancing the energy body is profound work, and in my practice I prioritize my clients’ comfort and autonomy.
My coaching practice engages neuroplasticity utilizing the same mechanisms as EMDR. I use conversational techniques to engage the unconscious mind and create new neural pathways. This method provides relief from traumatic stress symptoms without requiring the client to relive or recount a traumatic event.
Signs and Symptoms of Nervous System Dysregulation
Every one of your sensations, behaviors, habits, moods, everything you do (or don’t do) is determined by your nervous system. Many patterns that are refered to as “disorders” are actually our nervous systems working extemely well at trying to keep us alive. Working with neurosomatics teaches us how to change outputs, to regulate our nervous systems, rehabilitate old patterns, and helps our bodies move out of a state of survival and into a state of performance (where we can do what we want).
Signs and Symptoms of Nervous System Dysregulaton (i.e. Outputs):
Physical symptoms
Headaches and Migraines
Muscle Tension and Nerve Pain
Digestive Issues
Chronic Pain
Weakened immune system
Insomnia
Persistent discomfort without clear medical explanations
Heightened sensitivity to stimuli (light, sound, temperature, etc.)
Emotional symptoms
Mood swings
Anxiety
Depression
Irritability
Outbursts
Shutting down
Difficulty shifting out of negative emotional states
Cognitive symptoms
Poor memory
Difficulty concentrating or focusing
Persistent worry or fearfulness
Chronic stress
Compulsions
Heightened sensitivity to stimuli (light, sound, temperature, etc.)
Feeling quick to overwhelm
Outputs are not disease states. You are not broken. Relief is achievable.
Neurosomatic Intelligence is the ability to recognize how sensory and cognitive inputs are affecting the nervous system and to be able to intentionally change inputs to produce positive adaptation in the nervous system that allows for increased regulation, performance, behavior change and trauma repatterning.
Agreements of Care
Sliding Scale Always! You do not need to pay the same amount session-to-session. You can, but do not need to discuss your payment approach with me. I have dedicated my life to this work. The top of the sliding scale is the cost and true value of a session.
Not sure what to pay? Make it an investment, not a burden. Many people use the midpoint of the scale as a guide.
I’m commited to working within your budget to ensure the healing you need.
60 minutes, in-office: $60-400
120 minutes, in-office: $160-600
60 minutes, virtual: $30-300 ($30-80 appointments limited)
15 minute phone consultation: $0
Congruity is key. In our initial session we will discuss your wellness goals to determine a suitable care plan that is unique to you. The nervous system responds instantly. Sustainable change takes time and practice. Expect to experience results from your first session. To experience full benefits, you can generally expect a commitment of at least 3-12 months. This can be a combination of in-person and virtual sessions. I work with each client uniquely as each nervous system is unique.
Cancellations and lateness happen. If you cancel within 24 hours of your appointment, I ask that you pay a courtesy fee (what you were planning on paying on the sliding scale).
Please let me know if you will be late to your appointment. I can accommodate up to 20 minutes past our scheduled time. If you are more than 20 minutes late, I ask that you reschedule and pay a courtesy fee for the missed appointment.
